Some more.....

Quite a bit of interest in the quilts from War Time Quilts....  I didn't get them all and there are a lot more quilts shown in Dr Annette Gero's book... she also has a book about Australian Quilts.

Again, I am sharing these on the basis that my blog is social media ...

Here are some more... I won't say much about them as the write ups speak for themselves..

Just amazing.... I have a few more so I will do one more post on these...

I'm glad to say a few people have said they are keen to go and see them so that's good - there is nothing like seeing the real thing....

Righto, Gotto Go...

  1. Fabulous...I missed this when it came to Sydney and couldn't get to see it! Just lovely! I saw Annette once at a quilt talk and then a while later my friend told me she went to school with her and they are still in n touch!

  5. The amount of work in these quilts is mind blowing. I wouldn't have thought that the people would spent so much time on a quilt that wasn't to be a heirloom quilt. But they sure did turned out to be amazing heirloom quilts. Thanks for taking pictures of the details. They are so much fun to inspect. The last quilt has very interesting blocks in the before last border. Wonder what they are called. Thanks again Fiona. Looking forward to the next post. ;^)
